Beyer - Floating Bucket Chain Excavator
The floating bucket chain excavator can move lengthwise, transversely and swivel, but only work forward moving. The bucket ladder tilted downwards serves as a supporting structure, around which an endless, suspended chain moves with mounted buckets.
The dredging material is created during the handling of the buckets at the lower deflection, transported out of the water in the upper center of the bucket chain and brought to the drop. The lower corner is freely suspended and not guided. After the buckets have left the water, pre-drainage takes place by letting the water leave from the drainage slots provided for in the buckets. According to the onward transport system, the bucket conductor can be downstream a coup, a drainage device or a pumping tank.
The conveyor chain from the tractor technology is laterally stable and durable.
The excavator depth is limited by the length of the bucket ladder. Realistic dredging depths are currently 21 m, in exceptional cases up to 24 m.
The floating bucket chain excavator can also be used to deepen existing water surfaces.
Due to its stable chain guide, the floating bucket chain excavator can also be used in flowing waters.
