BinMasterModel VRX41 -Vibrating Probe with Pipe Extension

SHARE

BinMaster’s VRX41 vibrating probe level sensor with pipe extension has been revamped with a bright, built-in LED status indicator to make monitoring levels and plugged chutes easier than ever. The light can easily be seen from afar, appearing as red or green, and changing color based on if material is or is not covering the probe and damping its vibration.

VRX41 is mounted at the top of a bin, tank, silo, or vessel with 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" NPT threads. Its design features a rigid pipe extension that can be extended from 13” to 13’ (33.02 cm to 3.96 m) with a robust sword-shaped vibrating probe.

This durable design makes the VRX41 a great choice in environments where heavy materials are being measured. Like other vibrating probes, it outperforms other point level sensors in measuring low-dielectric materials such as powders, granules, and flakes as light as 1.9 lb./ft.³ (30 g/liter).

The sensor utilizes a 24 VDC or 115/230 VAC power supply and operates in temperatures up to 140°F (60°C). (High-temperature probe up to 284°F/140°C available)

By providing reliable level and plugged chute alerts, users can prevent overfilling their vessel and ensure materials are flowing as intended, reducing the risk of operational downtime due to blockages or obstructions.

VRX41 features DPDT relay contacts, allowing the user to preset two switching outputs—such as to “covered” and “uncovered”—plus configurable time delay settings and selectable fail-safe protection.

The VRX41 die-cast aluminum power pac—rated NEMA Type 4X—features 3/4" NPT conduit entries, a screw-off cover, and USDA-approved powder coat finish. Its robust design and self-cleaning capabilities offer a long, dependable service life.

Vibrating Probes with Rigid and Flexible Extensions

Top mounted for high point level detection to prevent overfilling.

Extended vibrating rods are ideal when you want to leave a certain amount of headspace in the silo. Wire them to an alert—such as a light, horn, or alarm panel—or a PLC to shut a process off or turn it back on.

The VRX41 and VRX51 both feature a unique sword-shaped vibrating probe that resists buildup and prevents false alarms. No calibration required. Wear and maintenance free!

Prolonged perks of extended vibrating probes:

  • Ideal for high- or low-level monitoring and plugged chute detection
  • For use in material densities of 1.25 lb./ft.³ or greater
  • Detect extremely light, fluffy materials with low-dielectric constants
  • Two sensitivity settings
  • Switch selectable high/low failsafe
  • Coming soon! Optional hazardous location approvals for CSA Class II
