BioDisk systems are ideal for Waste treatment “Package” plants category.

The BioDisk plug and play system can be installed above/below ground level and it has a modularity option. The combination of low OPEX and long life-span bring this system to be a "game changer" in the onsite wastewater market.

Pre-treatment stage
Raw sewage flows into the primary settling tanks that can be carried out using a multi-chamber-pit; solids settle in the tanks while the homogeneous liquid flows to the equalization tank to regulate steady flow to the Bio-disk® reactors.

Biological stage
Bio-disk (RBC) is a fixed film, aerobic, biological wastewater treatment system. They consist of parallel, PP disks mounted perpendicularly on a shaft that is slowly rotated in a tank through which the wastewater is treated. The shaft is mounted above the water level in the tank. During rotation, the disks carry the biomass and a film of wastewater into the air where oxygen is absorbed. The dissolved oxygen and organic materials in the wastewater diffuse into the biomass and are then metabolized. Excess biomass shears off at a steady rate as the disks rotate.

Clarification stage
After biological treatment, the mixed liquor flows to a smart clarifier that consists of lamella plates for ideal separation. The concentrated sludge that accumulates on the bottom of the clarifier is pumped back or flows by gravity to the primary tank while the clear effluent flows from the top for post-treatment (UV) or discharge.
