Kuriverter<Sup>TM</Sup> - Model IK-110 -Biofilm Control Agent for Membrane Systems
The control of biofilm is one of the biggest challenges facing operators of reverse osmosis and membrane filtration systems. The growth and accumulation of such foulants dramatically increase energy consumption, leading to increased cleaning frequency, lost production, and reduced membrane lifespan.
KuriverterTM IK-110 is a highly effective, patented slime control agent that renders microbes inactive and encourages slime to detach itself from the membrane surface. The product was specifically designed for use with thin film polyamide membranes where traditional oxidizing biocide options cause degradation but are compatible with almost all membrane types. It can be applied to the pre-treatment, protecting the complete system, preventing continual re-infection from upstream pipework, and removing the need for the application of chlorine scavengers.
Crucially, KuriverterTM IK-110 is NSF listed and can safely be applied on-line to systems producing potable water where other biocides are not considered acceptable, making it one of the most versatile products on the market.
KuriverterTM IK-110 is supplied in liquid form, is easy to handle, and requires no specialist equipment to apply. The product concentration can easily be determined in the feed or reject water with simple test kits or using our S.sensing online metering systems affording greater control and maximizing efficiency.
