Regeneracija - Biofilter for Air Cleaning
Air purifying filters are becoming a standard addition to biological wastewater treatment plants. The biological device works optimally if aerobic processes take place (where enough oxygen is dissolved in the water), if there are enough nutrients in the water and where the water is not contaminated with toxic substances that destroy the microorganisms. In the event that the purification device does not function optimally, anaerobic processes begin, where hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is formed, which stinks even at very low concentrations. If the purifier is equipped with an air filter, we prevent the odor from spreading to the environment.
Recently, legal requirements for the discharge of industrial waste air have become more stringent, which is why it will be necessary to install air filters. The filter prevents the emission of harmful chemicals into the environment. Examples of such chemicals are volatile organic substances. Their permissible concentration in the exhaust air is prescribed by the EU directive. With an air purifier, we ensure that the maximum permissible concentrations of harmful chemicals in the exhaust air are not exceeded.
Features:
- removal of air or harmful chemicals from the air,
- excellent value for money,
- low power consumption,
- quick and easy installation,
- easy maintenance,
- long life span.
Impact:
Prior to designing the filter, it is necessary to know exactly the air quality, in order to offer a quality solution or to adapt to the requirements of the customer.
The housing is cylindrical in shape, made of reinforced polyester, stainless steel or thermoplastic. Hazardous chemicals, which produce odor, pass through a fan into the filter, where plastic rings are first located, which evenly direct the air flow and remove moisture from the air. Moisture on the rings condenses and collects at the bottom of the pan. If necessary, it can be vented through the drain valve located at the bottom of the pan.
There are two types of activated filler, activated carbon and impregnated activated carbon. Activated charcoal has a large specific surface area on which harmful chemicals are absorbed. Impregnated activated carbon chemically neutralizes harmful chemicals.
The filler removes hydrogen sulphide, mercaptal - thiols and other substances from the air, which result from the decomposition of municipal wastewater and produce odor. The rate of utilization of fillers depends on the inlet concentration of harmful chemicals and the airflow, which is easily regulated. The filler is used as a special waste after replacing it with a new one.
The result is clean air with no odor.
Installation:
The filters are self-contained. They must be laid on a concrete slab of the proper size. It is necessary to install the filter in an accessible location in order to maintain and change the filler.
