Biometra - Model Compact Multi-Wide -Submerged Gel Electrophoresis
The Biometra Compact Multi-Wide is the latest member of the Compact Family and completes the electrophoresis portfolio for the identification, quantification and purification of nucleic acid fragments. Based on the Compact Family philosophy, the system offers a sophisticated chamber design , high-quality platinum electrodes and corrosion-resistant plugs for maximum reliability. With its 4 different gel tray lengths, it is the most variable model of the Compact Family for rapid screening as well as multiple sample loading with short or long separation distances. Depending on the size of the gel, up to 6 combs can be placed on the gel tray simultaneously, that a max. sample capacity of 192 samples could be achieved.

The universal gel casting system is designed for gel tray lengths from 7 cm up to 18 cm. A movable fixing element provide the flexibility required to quickly and securely fix the different length gel trays for the casting of gels. With mobile gel casting dams, multiple gels can simply be poured simultaneously:
- 3 gel tablets of 7 cm length
- 2 gel trays of 10 cm length
- 1 gel tray of 7 cm length + 1 gel tray of 10 cm length
- 1 gel tray of 7 cm length + 1 gel tray of 15 cm length
