General applications

Bioplast 400 EL is primarily used to create transparent films.

Sustainability and biodegradability

Bioplast 400 EL has a bio-based carbon share of 40% according to ISO 16620-2 or ASTM D6866. As with all Biotec products, Bioplast 400EL is completely biodegradable. Depending on its thickness, this product is compostable according to EN13432 under well-managed home composting conditions (NF T51-800).

Processing

Bioplast 400 EL was designed to be processed on conventional equipment for blown film extrusion (LDPE or LLDPE) as an outer layer for multi-layer films. This grade is printable and is sealable (heat sealing, RF, ultra-sonic).
