Australian Maritime Systems have developed an ingenious AMS Birdscarer® that is a noticeable development to the existing spike practice, which is in use on navigation beacons surrounding Australia. The problem with the existing `spiked` birdscarers is they are unfriendly to the birds and produce difficulties to service staff, in particular when working on navigation buoys. Australian Maritime Systems has developed the AMS Birdscarer® that is an environmentally friendly solution to this inconvenience.
