The excellent stability of ECOX combined with being well protected against ambient humidity has several advantages for our customers’ detergent production and marketing:

• detergents have an excellent shelf life
• they are free flowing
• have an optimum physical strength and
• there are no dusting problems.

To maintain this advantage compared to competitors, our products are constantly tested in accelerated tests under extreme conditions.

Production designed to give an optimised granule
ECOX is produced in a fluid bed spray granulator designed to produce a material with an optimum particle shape. The granules are fluidised with air and the granulator is fed with solutions of hydrogen peroxide and soda ash which form droplets that attach to the solid spherical granules. Water is simultanously removed by the built in drying mechanism.

If a coating is desired the same type of technology is utilised for the process. The granules are coated with a reactive gas to form bicarbonate and subsequently coated with sodium sulphate.

Granules produced in a standard crystallisation process will normally have a typically irregular and jagged shape originating from the crystal structure. However, due to the specially designed process equipment and technology, ECOX granules are spherical and have a smooth surface. These characteristics facilitate application of a homogenous layer of coating completely encapsulating the core structure. ECOX is therefore well protected against ambient humidity and has excellent stability in the final detergent formulation.
