SHARE

Type B bags are crafted from insulating fabric, yet their breakdown voltage is less than 6 kV. This design is intended to mitigate the risk of energetic propagating brush discharges, which can potentially ignite dust-air mixtures, flammable gases, and solvent vapors. Type B bags are suitable for use in the presence of combustible dusts with a minimum ignition energy (MIE) exceeding 3mJ, but only when no flammable vapors or gases are present. While Type B bags are sometimes referred to as antistatic bags, it’s crucial to note that their primary function is to offer limited protection against static electricity. They do not incorporate a mechanism for dissipating static charge.

  1. 4 Panel Design: The 4-PANEL design involves sewing four pieces of fabric together to make the bag, with one more detail at the bottom.
  2. U Panel Design: This design uses one big piece of fabric for three sides and the bottom. Two more pieces are sewn in to complete the bag.
  3. Circular Design: This design uses one piece of fabric for all four sides, with extra pieces sewn at the top and bottom.
  4. Baffle Design: Baffle bags have extra pieces sewn at each corner, keeping the bag square even when full.
  5.  Net Baffle – A specific type of baffle bag designed with a net-like structure to facilitate the bag in maintaining its shape while still allowing for the flow of air or liquid during filling or discharge.
  6. 30% Extra Capacity – When using baffle bags, it’s possible to increase the bag’s capacity by up to 30% without changing its footprint. This additional volume not only improves stack stability but also maximizes space efficiency during storage and transportation.
