Burak’s BA-Series turbine flow sensor is out there in two styles, inline turbine flow meter and insertion turbine flow meter. Standard models include a bright OLED display for viewing flow, flow cumulative, 4-20 mA output transmitter, RS485, RS232 Modbus RTU Protocol, batching, data logging facility with an optional online monitory device (IoT). The turbine-type flow meter has integral keypads for setting parameters for flow selection, communication, batching and flow alarm, etc. Turbine meters are the only mint to measure clear and low viscous liquids like water, edible oil, Transformer oil, diesel, etc.

The inline model comes up with a common size from 1/2” to 8” and a larger size for the asking. The contact parts of the meter are made from stainless steel material having different grades which can be compatible as per process parameters. The electronic enclosure of the meter is standardized to be Explosion-proof to satisfy the necessity of a customer who wants to measure the flow of flammable liquid in their hazardous location. The turbine flow meter can perform successfully up to liquid having viscosity ratio up to 100 centipoises. For high viscous liquid helical turbine meters are used.

The turbine meter consists of turbine rotor assembly during which turbine rotor is formed of magnetic material and of aerodynamic shape so on to convert the flow energy into rotational energy.  The shaft of the turbine rotor is formed from tungsten carbide which rolls on the bush bearing. the speed of the fluid passing through the line is directly proportional thereto to the rotational speed of the turbine rotor.

The magnetic pickup sensor mounts externally within the same plane as that of the turbine rotor. The Magnetic pickup sensor consists of a coil & magnet. The magnetic pickup sensor is detachable below the turbine flow meter body.

As the fluid flows through the mechanical rotor it causes the turbine aerodynamic shape rotor to rotate. The magnetic pickup sensor is mounted on the brink of the turbine rotor without piercing the meter body. It`s ready to sense the cutting of magnetic flux caused thanks to the rotation of the rotary-wing. Which in terms creates the frequency signal output. This generated signal is used to represent the flow and total volume of fluid passing through the flow meter.  which may even be converted into different measuring units like cubic meters, liters, kilograms, tons and cubic feet, etc on the display of the turbine flow meter.
