VVC - Butterfly Damper Valves
Butterfly damper valves are easily usable in air and gas ducts and in pipes. Depending on your operating conditions and the applications, we seek out the exact type of butterfly damper you need.
Construction
A butterfly damper valve consists of 3 parts: a valve, a spindle and a body.
Valve
The valve consists of 1 part or is composed of different parts to a shutter construction. The valve can be mounted at an angle, revolving or with stopping edges.
Spindle
2 constructions are available: with a continuous axle or a two-piece axle.
Body
The body is a welded or a casted construction and is resistant to shock and tearing. Depending on your operating conditions, the body is available with wafer, flanges or welding connections.
Types of butterfly damper valves Type DSL®
The butterfly damper valve DSL® is a simple construction to be mounted between 2 flanges. The butterfly valve is supplied with a compression packing for optimal tightness. The DSL® can manage temperatures up to 650°C and is available in DN 50 mm up to DN 600 mm.
Type DSK®
The butterfly damper valve type DSK® is a double flanged welded construction that is only available as wafer type in a round or rectangular construction. The DSK can be used in light as well as heavy applications. The DSK for light applications is available in DN 280 mm to DN 2000 mm and can manage temperatures up to 300°C. For heavy applications, the DSK is supplied at both sides with an adjustable compression packing and with an additional bearing. Suitable for temperatures up to 650°C and available in DN 250 mm to 3000 mm. If you also want to regulate flows with the butterfly damper, the DSK® can be supplied with 2 or more valve discs (DSK-J® and DSK-JR®), the so-called shutter valves.
All V.V.C. butterfly damper valves are available with the following options:
- Extra sealing profile in metal stopping edge for a higher sealing degree
- Inflatable seats for 100% sealing (bubble tights)
- Special compression packing
- Flexible spring steel profile on the valve disc for a higher sealing degree
- Corrosion-resistant materials
- Surface protection
- Low friction
- Vibration construction
