Combination cabin air filters perform up to 25% more effectively than particle filters and have an important additional function: preventing unpleasant, even harmful, gases and smells from entering the cabin. This is achieved through the addition of a layer of activated charcoal to the filter medium, creating an effective `adsorption` process that condenses the gas on the surface.
