CALABRESEDifferentiated Dry-Wet Collection

SHARE

The CALABRESE equipment is engineered for the simultaneous collection of dry and wet waste, specifically optimizing packing and transport of solid urban waste. This equipment complies with Italian and European regulations, especially focused on safety standards of EN 1501-1-2000. It features two distinct sections: a dry section for solid urban waste, and a wet section for organic material. The dry section incorporates a robust rear hydraulic compactor, crafted from high yield-point steel with continuous welding to avert corrosion and sealing concerns. The packing system includes a double-acting oleodynamic cylinder-driven shovel and a sliding mechanism for effective waste compression. Additionally, the unit integrates an ejection system with a push-out plate for efficient waste disposal. The wet section entails a waterproof tub crafted from abrasion-proof steel, designed for organic waste transport, employing side tipping for discharge.

The "CALABRESE" equipment is specifically designed to simultaneously collect distinct dry-wet waste and to resolve packing and transport problems of solid urban waste, in compliance with legislations in force in Italy and in the EC (Directive n°89/392/EC, 91/368/EC, 93/44/EC, 93/68/EC and amendments) with particular reference to Safety Rules EN 1501-1- 2000.

The equipment is made up of two sections that allow different types of collection:

1) Dry section and/or solid urban waste collection;
2) Wet section / organic

DRY SECTION and/or Solid Urban Waste collection:
Rear Hydraulic Compactor consisting of:
Body: made of high yield-point steel, adequately stiffened, with continuous welding to prevent corrosion and sealing problems.

Packing system: made up of a waste packing shovel and slide. The hovel is operated by two high performance double-acting oleodynamic cylinders; it is hinged to the slide which is activated by other two double-acting oleodynamic cylinders. The automatically opening and closing packing unit, provided with sliding guides, is hinged at the top of the body and is driven by two double-acting cylinders. In the event of oil pipe failure on the packing system lifting cylinders, a cut-out device provides for lowering shut-down.

Packing unit control: electrical with button panel allowing the following working cycles:

Single Automatic Discontinuous Cycle / Automatic Continuous Cycle / Manual Cycle with button for Single Independent Stages / Reversal Cycle.

Ejection/Back-pressure System: all waste contained and packed inside the body is ejected from the opened tailgate by means of a push-out plate which slides on special anti-friction guides. The push-out plate is moved by a double-acting chrome-plated cylinder that generates back-pressure to the combined plate in order to increase waste packing ratio. The plant is provided with a special automatic backing system of the push-out plate by making use of the existing pressure in the packing unit hydraulic system.

Regulation size rear boards are provided complete with: warning lamps, inside the cab, indicate presence of operator and shut-down the packing cycle; 30 km/h speed limit device for presence of operators on the footboards, including reverse; rear camera with monitor inside the cab.
Container lifting device for 1100 - 1700 lt. Containers, with DIN/UNI male coupling and comb-type coupling for 80 to 360 lt. bins according to UNI EN 840:1997.

WET SECTION:
"Tub" type water-proof container, either in 3 or 5 cu.m. version, suitable for the collection and transport of organic non-compact waste, consisting of: a tub made of high yield-point abrasion-proof steel, adequately stiffened. All automized welding is continuous to prevent corrosion and sealing problems. Discharge is performed by side tipping, by means of a double-acting telescopic oleodynamic cylinder. The tub is equipped with upper doors operated by hydraulic cylinders having controls both manual and automatic non the left-hand side of the compactor.

Container Lifting Device: the loading system is located on the left-hand side by means of the container lifting device with comb-type coupling for simultaneous unloading of two from 240 to 360 lt. bins according to UNI EN 840:1997 standards and of one 660-770 lt. container.
Lifting Device Controls: electrical with button panel placed near the operating area with "hold-to-run" type controls.
Tub tipping: electrical with button panel placed inside the cab.
