Carbon Capture with Bio Energy

Aker Clean Carbon has developed a novel concept of combining the CO2 capture process with a bio energy plant, providing steam and electricity to the capture facility. The concept makes the capture plant independent from the fossil fuel-fired power plant, and increases the total CO2 capture by catching the CO2 emmitted from the bio fuel burner as well. The total capture rate based on a gas fired power plant is 116%, making the whole facility CO2-negative.
