ERG Hygrade - Carbon Filter Vessels
ERG Hygrade designs and fabricates carbon filter vessels for the adsorption of odorous, hazardous and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from industrial air streams. Units are supplied as standalone carbon vessels or as polishing stages downstream of scrubbers or biofiltration systems.
Fabrication is carried out in corrosion-resistant GRP and thermoplastics, with vessel geometry, bed depth and internal arrangements selected to control airflow, manage pressure drop and accommodate site layout constraints.
ERG Hygrade carbon filter vessels are suitable for the treatment of VOCs and acid gases, including hydrogen sulphide (H2S), mercaptans, chlorine and solvent vapours. A range of configurations is available to suit operating and layout requirements, including:
- Deep-bed vessels for high-capacity adsorption
- Twin-bed arrangements for extended service life and duty/standby operation
- Annular-bed designs for space-restricted installations
Carbon media type and grading are specified by the system designer or end user, with vessels fabricated to provide the required loading capacity, access arrangements and safe media change-out.
Each vessel is configured to promote uniform airflow and low pressure drop, helping ensure consistent adsorption performance and effective use of the installed carbon media. Access hatches, lifting features and drainage provisions are incorporated to facilitate safe inspection and carbon change-out.
ERG Hygrade supplies robust, corrosion-resistant carbon filter housings designed to integrate cleanly into client-defined gas treatment systems.
