Microbia - Model ADA -CARLA Kit
The ADA CARLA kit consists of sequence-specific hybridization biosensors for the ribosomal RNA (rRNA) of the Anabaena-Dolichospermum-Aphanizomenon cyanobacteria clade*, together with chemicals needed to generate a proportional colorimetric signal readable by spectrophotometry. It comes in a 96-well microplate format and includes standards of synthetic RNA for calibration. (more about biosensors for cyanobacteria). ADA stands for Anabaena-Dolichospermum-Aphanizomenon. Most recent taxonomic classifications do not clearly discriminate the species belonging to these 3 groups of cyanobacteria. The genetic biosensors included into the kit is able to recognize all of them.
