Various kinds of solid substances are to be found dispersed in the water used by public and industrial water systems, including sand, rust, sludge, etc. So filtration is a process that separates out the solids normally found in water, which are often responsible for damage and corrosion in plumbing, taps and electrical appliances. Solving the problem is a simple matter of installing a filter upstream of the system or equipment to be protected.
Almost all models of filter, be they low, medium or high capacity, come with a convenient release valve through which to drain all impurities retained by the cartridges, which can self-clean by backwashing via by-pass.
The filters comprise two sections: a head and cup, constructed in non-toxic plastic materials with high mechanical resistance. They can hold filter cartridges of any type: 25-micron felt cartridges, 80-micron stainless steel mesh cartridges, activated charcoal for filtering odours, flavours, colour and chlorine, polyphosphate crystals (hydrostat salts) for catering use with antiscaling and anticorrosion activity.
