Castolin Eutectic Xuper AbraTec - Model 5006 -High-Performance Rod Electrode for Abrasion-Resistant Coatings
Rutile-based coated high-performance stick electrode with 170 % yield. Weld metal with embedded special FeCrC-based carbides. Resistant to intensive abrasion in combination with pressures and moderate impacts. Very high current carrying capacity. Maximum wear and impact resistance for 1 to 2-layer armoring.

For hardfacing steels, manganese steels and cast steel.
Typical applications are: Inlet and outlet guides of rolling mills, dozer blades, teeth of crushing machines, wheels of excavator pumps and excavator bucket teeth.
Processing instructions
Remove cracked or damaged material. Clean welding areas. During welding, adjust the heat input to the component, its material and dimensions. Weld austenitic manganese steels as cold as possible (≤ 300 °C) without preheating. Welding a buffer layer is required for hardenable steels.
