Centrifugal pumps are used when low viscous fluids have to be transferred at high flow rates. Typical applications are: Transfer pump between tanks, tanker discharge pump, pressure group, network pressure lift pumps, IBC or drum discharge pump. Depending on the fluid and the process conditions, it may be necessary to install a magnetic coupling between pump and motor (magnetic centrifugal pump), or a mechanical seal with lubrication and cooling system (API Plan).
