The En-Masse works in such a way that the paddles drag along the conveyor floor, pushing the material at the bottom of the conveyor. The bottom layer of material that is moving carries all of the material lying on top of it along as well. This creates less torque which requires less horsepower.
All Norstar Drag Conveyors feature a curved back plate in the conveyor’s tail section that prevents material build up. The plate is attached to the tensioning system and moves along with adjustments to maintain close proximity to the conveyor paddles.
UHMW paddles are gentle on the conveyor housing producing less wear. Maintaining/repairing the chain is as simple as adding or removing chain links compared to splicing belts or replacing auger flighting.
Norstar En-Masse Drag Chain Conveyors feature a fully-enclosed housing with an open interior that promotes a higher fill rate than other forms of conveyance.
UHMW paddles are gentle on the conveyor housing and eliminate steel-on-steel contact. We use UHMW return rollers to ensure low impact chain support that minimizes noise and chain wear.
