Changyuan Flex - Double Arch Expansion Joint
The double arch expansion joint is an engineering innovation of ChangYuan Flex Co. This sophisticated component has two precisely engineered arches working in tandem to accommodate multi-directional movement within complicated piping networks. The dual-arch design permits excellent axial, lateral and angular displacement performance reducing thermal expansion, vibration and misalignment stress. They distribute forces over two bellows instead of one and are therefore more robust and have a longer service life than one – they are therefore indispensable in high-stress industrial applications.

All ChangYuan Flex Co. double arch expansion joints use advanced manufacturing processes. The bellows form the heart of the joint using a special hydraulic expansion technique for uniform material distribution and high stress resistance. Our engineers optimize the arch geometry by advanced computational fluid dynamics simulations with minimum flow turbulence & pressure drop. This care extends to material selection, from high grade stainless steels through to exotic alloys such as Inconel / Hastelloy for compatibility with most media / operating conditions.
Such broad applications show that ChangYuan Flex Co. double arch expansion joints are versatile. These components are particularly well suited for petrochemical refining plants where they are exposed to extreme temperatures and to aggressive fluids while able to withstand the high thermal expansion of pipelines. In power generation facilities they absorb the high vibrations of turbines and generators thereby extending equipment life. The joints can compensate for ground settlement so they are useful for large-scale HVAC systems in skyscrapers and industry complexes. The smaller footprint compared to standard expansion loops also makes them suitable for installations with little available space.
