Chlorine Dioxide is a very powerful oxidant most commonly used as a disinfectant in the water. Used commercially in aqueous solution rather then gas due to its explosiveness when exposed to rising temperatures, exposure to light or allowed to come into contact with organic substances and will not react chemically with water, as would chlorine.
Chlorine dioxide is widely used as an antimicrobial ansd as an oxidizing agent in drinking water; poultry process water, swimming pools, and mouthwash preparations. It is used to sanitise fruit and vegetables as well as equipment for food and beverage processing. It is also employed in the health care industries to decontaminate rooms, pass-throughs, isolators and also as a sterilant for product and component sterilisation. What's more, as an oxidizing agent, it is extensively used to bleach, deodorise and detoxify a wide variety of materials.
Compact CCS Unit
This unit is designed for flow rates of less than 100 M3 per day.
Standard CCS Unit
This unit is designed primarily for dosing of Chlorine Dioxide into industrial environment such as cooling towers, water reuse programs, any potable application.
Probe Controlled CCS Unit
This unit is designed primarily for the dosing of chlorine dioxide into potable water or where accurate control of levels is a requirement.
Chlorine dioxide is produced at the point of application by mixing stabilised chlorine donor liquid and acid activator.
Safety features common to all units
The system is housed in three ABS enclosures connected side by side. The centre section houses the connections and controller (probe controlled unit) with the side enclosures house the two chemical pumps. This layout ensures effective isolation of the two chemical pumps preventing any premature mixing of the two chemicals.
