Cleaning and Surface Preparation
AISUS offer a range of specialist cleaning solutions which tackle challenging cleaning requirements, ensuring optimum inspection conditions. Cleaning and surface preparation is managed by our experienced personnel delivering effective and efficient results. AISUS have an extensive understanding of cleaning Caissons, J-Tubes, Risers, Conductors and Drilling Riser Joints all from internal. In addition to this, we have developed a fleet of tooling to support external cleaning solutions, deploying these from crawler systems or ROVs. Depending on the scope of work, cleaning / surface preparation can be required to allow close visual inspection or successful collection of ultrasonic wall thickness data.
High Pressure (HP) cleaning is typically utilised to provide a clean surface free from loose debris, marine growth, corrosion, and coatings as required. Depending on the scope of work, this service can either be utilised for general pipe cleaning or when required to allow close visual inspection or successful collection of ultrasonic data. Cleaning would be completed to a standard comparable to SA2 (described in the ISO 8501-1:2007 surface preparation standard).
High-pressure cleaning is generally used for caisson cleaning, jetting pressure will be adjusted following an initial visual inspection to ensure suitable cleanliness. Pressure can also be adjusted to protect or remove any coatings.
AISUS also offer Ultra High Pressure (UHP), High Flow units ideal for more complex cleaning and inspection scopes including coating removal, well bonded scale variations, longer inspection lengths and negotiating bends.
We have established working relationships with suppliers of a range of specialist cleaning solutions, providing us with greater equipment availability and access to expertise within the field. Cleaning and surface preparation is managed by our own personnel to ensure an effective and efficient delivery.
We continually invest in our own suite of tailored jetting equipment to ensure maximum cleaning performance and reduced duration’s for removing scale / marine growth.
