Clevebio - Model Amnite NB500 -Nitrite Oxidation Product

Nitrifying bacteria are very slow growing bacteria which can not carry out the nitrification process efficiently in the presence of high levels of organic solids. In addition these bacteria also have a requirement for a high level of dissolved oxygen. The product is most effective when the operating conditions in the treatment plant are close to the optimum listed below:

Amnite NB500 has been formulated to oxidise nitrite in waste waters under aerobic conditions. The bacteria in the product can be readily incorporated into the biomass of the treatment plant and the oxidation process starts immediately on adding the product. The product is suitable for establishing nitrite oxidation in newly constructed or seasonally operated plants, to reseed a plant after a toxic shock or to improve the efficiency of the existing biomass. The high activity of the product ensures a rapid recovery of the nitrite-oxidation ability after the process has been affected by a toxic shock.

Amnite NB500 is a liquid product which can rapidly oxidise nitrite under aerobic conditions. The product is homogeneous and safe to use. It does not contain any pathogens.
