We specialise in vacuum sucking and transport of hazardous materials. We know hazards associated with work in potentially explosive atmosphere areas. In order to eliminate them, we use the material removal technology developed especially for Climbex by the Faculty of Mining and Geoengineering of the AGH University of Science and Technology. The MEGAVAC 8000 ADR/316/ATEX vacuum truck has a certificate of approval for the transport of waste and hazardous materials in classes 3, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 6.2, 8 and 9 according to ADR. All structural elements of the truck are made of acid-resistant steel, which makes ADR transport completely safe.

The suction unit of the MEGAVAC truck is equipped with the following:

  • additional vacuum pump spark protection
  • a pump for pumping liquids (fuels) with a capacity of 60 to 90 m3/h
  • nitrogen connection for the discharging of flammable liquids
  • an additional compressor for splash-free discharging of liquids and sludge
  • pneumatic discharging system for bulk materials and sludge

Using strong vacuum, we suck heavy oils and sludge in fuel tanks, materials in granules, spent catalysts and other hazardous waste.

The technology used by us guarantees that hazardous waste removed from the tank does not pollute the environment during the operations. Additionally, the application of rope access techniques ensures that circulation routes are not blocked and makes it possible for the works to be started and performed quickly.

Hazardous material tank cleaning

This process is completed in four stages:

  1. Pumping of light fractions from a tank by means of a liquid pump into another tank or tanker.
  2. Sucking of heavy fractions from the bottom of the tank using the MEGAVAC 8000 ADR/316/ATEX vacuum truck.
  3. Transport of hazardous materials to the disposal site (ADR).
  4. Pneumatic discharging of sucked material.
