Lubrico - Coagulants
Coagulation is an intermediary step, but it is essential to the physico-chemical treatment process of water and wastewater. This is the first step in the elimination of colloidal particles and its main function is to destabilize the particles. This destabilization is essentially the neutralization of the electrical charge present on the surface of the particle thus facilitating the agglomeration of the colloids.
Lubrico - A.Tsakalis Ltd. is producing a wide range of organic and inorganic coagulants based on ALuminium and Iron Salt, such as :
- Polyaluminium Chloride
- Polyaluminium Chloride Sulfate
- Aluminium Chlorohydrate (ACH)

All products are certified according to the European Community Standards for application in potable water and therefore correspond to standards of EN 878:2004 and EN 883:2004.
Lubrico - A.Tsakalis also manufactures a wide range of organic coagulants based on several chemistries such as polyamines, polydadmacs and blends. They can be used alone or in combination with aluminium base inorganic coagulants, providing a consumption reduction of a 20-40%, reducing dramatically coagulation times, not only succeeding in reducing the treatment cost but also reducing the volume of the treated sludge and their disposal cost.
