S.K Euromarket - Coagulation and Flocculation System

Our coagulation and flocculation systems are complete installations designed to increase the effectiveness and the efficiency of filtration systems, solids separation, fat oil and grease (FOG) separation and sludge treatment systems. These systems are either fed by ready-to-use coagulant and flocculant solutions or by made-on-site flocculant with the use of our polymer make-up units.

Design Criteria

A number of parameters define the design of our coagulation and flocculation systems.

  • The range of solids and FOG concentration of the incoming stream
  • The flow characteristics of the incoming stream: average flow, peak flow and duration of fluctuations
  • The desired solids and FOG concentration for the outgoing stream

The performance of these systems is highly dependent on the selection of the right coagulant and flocculant agents.  Our long collaboration with the biggest chemical manufacturers gives us the opportunity to select from their wide range of products the most suitable coagulant and flocculant.

The coagulant and flocculant selection is made upon an on-site jar testing of the influent water for a given application or project.

System Components

The coagulation and flocculation systems consist of:

  • Coagulant and flocculant  solution storage tanks
  • Dosing units for coagula
  • Vessels or chambers for coagulant and flocculant mixing with influent
  • Electric control panel

The mixing process is done with the use of one of the following:

  • Paddle mixers underatmospheric conditions
  • Enclosed chamber with or without propeller mixers
  • In-line pipe mixers 

All components and pieces of equipment such as dosing units, control panels and sensors are sourced by reputable international manufacturers with whom we have long term partnerships. 

Tanks and mixing devices are in-house designed and manufactured to the highest specification standards and with materials and processes that fit each particular application.

Complete skid-mounted turn-key units that can be easily disconnected, relocated and reinstalled are also available upon request.
