It is widely used in industrial environments as a liquid absorbent and its resistance to salt water has made it best choice for pavement mats in bleaches and during times of ice fall. Latex backing can be provided to enhance the durability and for ease of use. The water proof nature of coir makes mattings free from dampness and moles to a great extend. It comes in two shafts, three shafts, four shafts and ribbed weaving in rolls of 25 to 50 meters long and 60 to 180 cms wide.
