LOW MAINTENANCE

U-drain requires minimal maintenance with its single-slot intake. There are no dreaded grates to be removed and cleaned. Simply take the optional Cleaning Paddle and run it inside and along the trough to clean out any debris.

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY

U-drain is designed in such away that the breaks in the trough allow for weight loads to be channeled directly into the concrete floor surrounding the drain. Commercial U-drain is built to exceed HS-20 loading standards and can be utilized in high traffic, heavy-load situations.

LONG LASTING

U-drain is built with galvanized steel which ensures incredibly long-lasting functionality. With a standard zinc thickness of 3.9 mils, U-drain is rated to last 73 years before 5% rust is experienced by the product.

SINGLE-SLOT INTAKE

U-drain features a 1" wide single-slot intake that is both efficient and good-looking. There are no grates getting clogged and needing to be removed and cleaned. The single-slot is low-profile, blending into the surface material and does not pose a hazard to foot traffic.

PRE-SLOPED DESIGN

Commercial U-drain 10` sections feature a pre-sloped design (sloped at 0.05% over 10`) which ensures proper drainage flow over longer distances. Non-sloped 5`, 3` and 1` sections are available to extend drain run.

BOLT-TOGETHER SECTIONS

U-drain is a simple and efficient bolt-together system. Each individual section has flanges on the ends with bolt patterns that coincide with the applicable connecting flange. Each flange is labeled to designate the next compatible section that can be added. This makes for a simple assembly process.

EZ-MOUNT BRACKETS

U-drain sections feature our EZ-Mount Brackets. A rebar length is pounded into the ground through the slot in the bracket. Once the rebar is firm and below the top floor, the drain sectioned can be leveled up or down. Once the desired level has been reached, simply tighten the set screw on the bracket against the rebar length to maintain the drains position.

SUMP PITS

Commercial U-drain features a variety of sump sizes and configurations. Our standard sizes include 18"x18"x24", 24"x24"x24" and 36"x36"x36" with custom depths available on request. Each sump size is available with a single, double or triple inlet configuration for multiple drainage points. Each sump features a 4.5" diameter outlet to attach PVC or other drainage means for sump discharge.

OIL SEPARATOR (OSR) SUMPS

Oil Separator Sump configurations are available with all standard sump sizes (custom depths also available upon request). The OSR setup acts like a skimmer with an elbow connecting the initial sump to the secondary sump. As oil drains into the initial sump (which is connected to the drain sections) it rises to the top while the clean water drains through the elbow into the second sump where drainage is discharge to sanitary sewer pipes.

SUMP LIDS

Multiple sump lid styles are available for Commercial U-Drain. Checkerplate, Slotted and Grated designs are all available (Grated lid is only available in 24" and 36" sump sizes). For OSR applications, a completely closed Checkerplate lid is available.

SILT STRAINER AND SUMP BASKETS

For applications that have plenty of solids and debris draining into the sump, a Silt Strainer Basket is available that allows for debris to be collected and separated from the liquid drainage. For heavier duty applications a sump basket is available that contains all drainage and needs to be removed and dumped on regular basis depending on drainage frequency.

45°, 90° & T-SECTIONS

U-drain offers a 45° and 90° section that allows for various drainage run configurations, making U-drain a versatile option for situations that require changes in drainage direction. A T-Section is also available, which enables a drainage junction between two runs.

FLUSH NOZZLE

A Flush Nozzle is available that is attached to the end of a drain section. Users are able to attach a water source to the nozzle via a 1/2" Polyethylene pipe. This setup can be used to flush the drainage system at will and send any debris into the sump in a very efficient manner.

CLEANING PADDLE

The Cleaning Paddle offers an efficient way to clean out your drain trench. Simply insert the paddle through the slot intake, twist the paddle 90° so that the paddle itself is across the trench. Slide the paddle along the drain to clean out and push any debris towards and into the sump pit.

STAINLESS STEEL FINISH

In addition to our standard galvanized finish, Commercial U-drain and its components are available in Stainless Steel. For applications used in food-grade situations or highly corrosive atmospheres, Stainless Steel is an excellent choice.
