Sand and litter are loaded by a series of nylon paddles onto a mesh frame that functions also as sifter. They are then conveyed upwards and discharged on a transverse moving sifter. From this sifter, litter is transferred to the rear collection basket Once the basket is full it is lifted and tipped into the top collection hopper, from there it is tipped either onto the ground for collection or directly into a truck or trailer for transporting away.
