VALLON - Model VMF4-VS20 -Compact 4th Generation Metal Detector with Exchangeable Search Coil
The VMF4-VS20 is a compact fourth-generation metal detector engineered for high-precision detection, particularly in demanding environments. It is optimized for humanitarian demining and military mine clearance, adaptable across varied soil types and shallow water settings. The foldable design offers ease of transport with minimal space requirements, coupled with intuitive operation and robust mechanical durability. Key features include replaceable search coils and compatibility with recharge-in-device battery technology, supported by both AC adapters and vehicle power supplies. The standard search coil has a diameter of 20 cm. Built to IP68 specifications, the detector ensures waterproof operation to a depth of 5 meters, while its weight ranges from 2.05 to 2.59 kg depending on battery configuration. Engineered to meet MIL-STD-810G environmental conditions, the VMF4-VS20 maintains performance across a temperature range of -31°C to +63°C.

- Landmines : Suited for mine detection. Thanks to maximum sensitivity, also responds to mines with low metal content.
- UXO* : Suited for searching of all types of metal (e. g. shells, grenades, submunitions, etc.) near the surface. Thanks to optionally available UXO search coils, also for searching of objects at moderate depths.*
- IEDs* : Suited for searching of objects with low conductivity and the components typical of improvised explosive devices (e. g. wires and cables).
The foldable VMF4 metal detector has tiny packaging dimensions and offers the same excellent ergonomics as the robust VMH4 metal detector. It is ideal for both humanitarian demining and military mine clearance. This applies to all soils and shallow waters in a wide variety of conditions.
It demonstrates its outstanding capabilities in the detection of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in particular.
The combination of mechanical durability, intuitive operation and maximum detection sensitivity leave the user nothing to be desired.
Another special feature of this new detector generation is that rechargeable batteries can also be charged right in the device, either with a 110 – 240 V/50 – 60 Hz AC adapter or on a 10 – 30 V vehicle on-board power supply.
The VMF4 metal detector is also available as VMF4L. It offers an increased battery operating time at a slightly higher weight by using four disposable/rechargeable batteries.
