Logotronic - Model Gealog FTP -Compact IoT Data Storage and Data Transmission Module
The Gealog ftp module IoT was developed as a simple, low-cost interface module between sensors and the cellular IoT system. It fetches the data either directly from the sensor via RS485 or via an intermediate Gealog measuring interface.

The sensor configuration is programmed in the firmware of the Gealog ftp module IoT. In addition, further parameters such as measurement rate and data transfer rate are dynamically configured with the help of the GealogApp. The Gealog ftp module IoT fetches the measured values from the sensors, stores them in the measured value memory and periodically transfers the collected measured values to an ftp server using FTP or FTPS protocol (encrypted). The modern mobile radio standards Cat-M1 or NB-IoT are used for this purpose, which are optimally suited for applications in environmental measurement technology due to their specifications.
In addition to time savings due to reduced measuring station visit intervals, data transmission also offers the advantage of ongoing automated control of the measuring station. Logotronic offers the GealogNet system as an option to the Gealog micro SG, where the incoming data is immediately accessible on the web via browser. Various options for monitoring incoming data create a high level of data security. The GealogNet database can be hosted by Logotronic, but can also be installed on their server.
The Gealog ftp module IoT uses the most modern mobile radio standards for data transmission for this application, either LTE CAT-M1 or LTE N1 (NB-IoT). By using low radio frequencies, the penetration of obstacles (e.g. concrete walls) is much better than with standard LTE. The Gealog ftp module IoT still transmits where normal cellular modems have to give up.
