BioComp shopping bags are made from 100% Corn Starch based polymers that make the product biodegradable and then compostable once thrown into a landfill, after its use. The raw materials used to manufacture BioComp are blended internally to ensure high tensile and elongation, ability to carry the same weight as a regular Polymer based shopping bag of the same size and can be printed with almost any colour and design based on customer requirements.
With the ban on single use plastics moving in the world, Polydime has taken initiative to pioneer the move towards sustainable plastic products in Sri Lanka.
