Alfabloc - Concrete Retaining Wall
The Alfabloc is a structurally efficient and versatile concept that offers a flexible solution for your bulk storage needs. It can be loaded on one or both sides and because it can be used without fixings bay sizes can be altered in a matter of minutes. The Alfabloc is the only ‘A’ shape, interconnecting freestanding precast concrete wall system on the market. Its patented jointed mechanism aids in the spread of the load horizontally against the units. It is designed to be freestanding for the majority of uses, but can also be ground fixed for higher loading applications. The Alfabloc is the ideal solution when you need to avoid mixing materials. Sealant used between the blocks can prevent migration of fine materials to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
Requiring only a structurally solid base to sit on, the precast concrete wall units can be used in a variety of applications. Units come in seven sizes from 1.2m to 6.0m and can weigh up to 5.2 tonnes.
The Alfabloc has been tried and tested over many years of constant use and can withstand significant impact by mechanical plant as well as withstanding extreme weather conditions.

- The maximum angle of repose is 25° for suitable materials.
These allow the concrete retaining wall system to be continuous and ‘gap’ free. The corner section is the perfect solution if you are trying to achieve a stand alone storage area where the corner units are placed at right angles. The steel corner section can be applied to provide a gap free wall.
