Condensate/Sediment Traps Filter
From Biogas Filters
Condensate/sediment traps are designed to remove liquids and solids from biological gas, and are installed immediately downstream from each digester to remove the large volume of condensed water, and upstream from energy recovery plants. First-stage removal is accomplished by a combination of centrifugal force and a sharp drop in velocity as the gas enters the trap. Second-stage removal takes place in a stainless steel mesh where smaller size particles are separated from biological gas flow. An external water trap device allows for continuous disposal of condensate water.
