The GRIMM 5410 SKY-CPC is the result of GRIMMs long-lasting experience with aerospace applications with custom-made CPC-cores optimized for counting nanoparticles at low pressure. The skyCPC line features a weight-optimized design, pressure-independent flow control and a specially adapted management of working fluids to comply with aviation safety regulations. The GRIMM 5410 SKY-CPC has an improved detection efficiency (D50 = 4nm) and response time (t10-t90 < 3 s) with an aerosol flow rate of 0.6 L/min.

The new detection head enables single particle counting up to 100 000 particles /cm³. The photometric mode allows for the detection of high concentrations up to 107 particles/cm³. As all GRIMM CPC models, the 5410 SKY-CPC features the well-established condensate removal and anti-spill saturator design with an integrated saturator shutter, enabling the transport of the CPC without removing or drying the saturator. GRIMM SKY-CPCs were already adapted for operation in pilotless aircrafts, light planes, and regular passenger planes.
