Conductivity Calibrating Standards in pouches are provided for convenient field or remote calibration. They also provide more accuracy than bottled standards because they are not repeatedly exposed to air. Potassium chloride standards are the traditional standards for conductivity calibration. Potassium chloride is preferred because it is readily available in pure form, highly ionized in water; and the ions are about the same size and weight with similar mobility.
