The IEC 60335-2-14 Cordless Appliance Endurance Test Apparatus is specifically designed for testing household electrical appliances such as cordless irons, kettles, coffee makers, and blenders. It adheres to standards IEC60335-2-3, IEC60335-2-14, and IEC60335-2-15, making it suitable for evaluating the durability and operational reliability of kitchen and heating appliances. Utilizing PLC intelligent integrated control and a 7-inch touchscreen, this apparatus ensures precise control over the testing process. The device features a mechanical clamping system with adjustable positioning and can perform up to 999,999 test cycles. Servo motor drives control the lifting mechanism, allowing the appliances to be placed and withdrawn at a rate of approximately 10 times per minute. The test setup involves connecting the live pins of the cordless appliance with an external resistive load, ensuring the current flows at 1.1 times the rated value. After 10,000 cycles for specific appliance types, testing continues without current for additional cycles. Test principle: The two live pins of the cordless appliance (such as cordless irons, cordless kettles, cordless coffee makers, cordless blenders) are connected together and an external resistive load is connected in series with the supply. The external load is such that the current is 1.1 times rated current. Then the cordless appliance is placed on its stand and withdrawn at a rate of approximately 10 times per minute through the servo motor drives the lifting mechanism. The test is continued without current flowing for a further 10000 times for cordless kettles and cordless coffee makers and 6000 times for other cordless appliances.
