Keeping the internal wall surface of the tubes in an air-con condenser and/or heat exchanger clean from scale formation, corrosion pittings and other foreign sediments has always been a problem to maintenance engineers. Due to these continuous problems, building owners are paying huge amount of money for maintenance and electricity bills every year. Air-con condensers and/or heat exchangers are shut-down once a year for inspection and cleaning. Method of cleaning the internal wall surface of the tubes is done either by high pressure reverse water jetting, chemical cleaning and/or manual cleaning using brush pull-through. All these methods are primitive, but it works, ONLY for a short period of time unfortunately. Foreign sediments build up again, forming an insulation layer, and hence, retard the heat transfer efficiency.
