Crane - Aerating / Deaerating Valves

The valves should be located in the most elevated points of pipelines so that, when filling the pipeline, the pipeline can be vented without escape of line fluid.

When draining the line, or in cases of pipe break, the valves let in atmospheric air in order to prevent a vacuum inside the pipeline system and avoid consequential damages. When the pipeline is empty, the ball is in the lowest position and the outlet bore is free.
