The CG-900 includes safe, controlled, automated dispensing of liquid nitrogen directly onto the sample, minimizing manual handling and ensuring consistent cooling. This innovative technology eliminates the manual handling risks associated with liquid nitrogen and provides the user a liquid nitrogen contact-free experience. With automated liquid nitrogen dispensing, the sample reaches cryogenic temperatures and then activates a grinding phase to pulverize samples, resulting in consistent process control and repeatable results, every time. The unit can also operate with dry ice when liquid nitrogen is unavailable or not required.

Automatic and programmable modes let you choose pre-set parameters or customize up to ten saved methods. The intuitive touchscreen interface includes 12 language options for effortless navigation.

Innovative cryogenic grinding technology uses a spinning blade to efficiently grind frozen samples into a fine, consistent powder. The Cole-Parmer SamplePrep Cryo-Blade maintains optimal cryogenic temperatures, ensuring even challenging materials are properly processed.

The Cryo-Blade is designed for safety and convenience. The insulated outer bowl keeps surfaces safe to touch at all times (although it is recommended to use protective gloves). The removable 5 L inner bowl wallows for easy cleaning, sample storage in the freezer, or quick batch switching giving the user the option of using a second bowl to prepare a new batch. The built-in exhaust system efficiently removes excess gas, keeping the workspace safe. The exhaust can be directly connected to the building’s main exhaust system or placed under a vent hood.
