Gesu - DAF Flotation Unit
DAF unit is a flotation based chemical wastewater treatment unit. It has very common usage. Due to its compact structure, it occupies very little space compared to chemical waste water treatment plants designed with the logic of precipitation. It works fully automatically. It can also be used in the separation of animal or industrial oily waste water when operated without chemicals.

DAF unit in general; tube type flocculator, 2 or 3 static mixers for chemical mixture on the flocculator, DAF tank, scraper, honeycomb lamella for increasing the surface load, adjustable discharge weirs, microbubble pump, walking platform, electrical panel (with frequency convector) options, 1 or It consists of 2 pH meters, polydose unit and coagulant dosing unit (with peristaltic dosing pump adjustable with frequency converter), acid or base dosing units for neutralization if necessary.
The body is made of AISI 304-316 and ST37 epoxy paint coated material. Waste water is connected to the system with a pipe type flocculator. All chemical dosages are mixed with static mixers placed on the tube type flocculator and enter the DAF unit by completing the coagulation, neutralization and flocculation steps, which are the stages of chemical treatment inside the flocculator.
DAF effluent from the microbubble pump conditioned with 4 atu air at the inlet of the DAF unit, the waste water from the flocculator combines and rises to the surface of the DAF in the form of microbubble bubbles. AKM, oil and flocs collected on the surface are removed from the surface by scraper. The surface load is increased with honeycomb type lamellas made of PVC material.
