Dagaz Environmental - Model 700 Series -Pond Mills

• Although the Enviro 700 Series Pond Mill is electric, it can easily be powered from an on-shore solar panel system. The machine diameter is 1.8 m (6 feet) with the above water height being 0.6 m (2 feet). Solar powered hook-up is available for certain applications.

• The 1725 rpm ½ hp motor is gear reduced to 130 rpm and operates on either single or three phase power.
• The ½ hp single phase 110/220 (volts/volts) draws 6 amps (220 is ½ this therefore 3 amps); and
• the ½ hp three phase 208-230/460 (volts/volts) draws 1-1.2 amps for the 208-230 and 0.8 amps for the 460.
• Control boxes are required for all electrical installations.

The monthly electrical treatment cost during the winter 2003-2004 on a hog lagoon in South Central Alberta, Canada was a mere $90.00 running on 3 phase power in comparison to the monthly electrical treatment cost of $1,100.00 for a previously used 7 hp aeration system that proved inadequate in providing sufficient aeration for odour abatement and solids reduction. Over the course of only one year, the energy savings alone added up to over $12,000.00 and this does not include the added benefits for the environment such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions and meeting climate change abatement goals.
