DAIKINDAI-EL Fluoroelastomers

SHARE
Daikin’s fluoroelastomers, known as DAI-EL, are engineered to meet the highest standards in extreme environments, particularly when exposed to high temperatures and various media such as fuel and diesel. These elastomers boast a very low permeation rate, allowing components to comply with current environmental regulations. The advanced polymer design ensures stable extrusion and molding processes suitable for technical rubber articles such as O-rings, seals, and hoses. Daikin offers a comprehensive range of FKM, including co- and terpolymers for bisphenol and peroxide curing, low temperature FKM, and perfluoroelastomers (FFKM). The company has also developed base-resistant fluoroelastomers with superior mechanical properties, suitable for future needs. A series of fluoro-thermoplastic elastomers provides a unique combination of low permeation, high flexibility, and excellent processability. With the introduction of the iodine cure site monomer and a progressive polymerization method, Daikin ensures optimal flow-ability and compression set across its product lineup. The company's bisphenol and peroxide curable grades are characterized by fast curing, excellent processing, and clean demolding, making them highly regarded in the market. Daikin emphasizes technical material performance combined with dedicated technical and commercial service, fostering close cooperation with customers for mutual success.

Daikin’s fluoroelastomers – DAI-EL – are designed to achieve the highest requirements in extreme environments. This includes high temperatures in combination with contact to fuel, diesel and all kinds of media. DAI-EL's very low permeation rate allows components to meet current environmental regulations. A sophisticated polymer design allows stable extrusion and molding processes for all kinds of technical rubber articles like O-rings, seals and fuel / turbo charge hoses.

Our comprehensive FKM portfolio covers the full range of copolymers and terpolymers for bishpenol and peroxide curing. This includes low temperature (LT) FKM (Tg = -30°C) as well as perfluoroelastomers (FFKM). Daikin designed base resistant fluoroelastomers (BRE) with superior mechanical properties to meet tomorrow's requirements. A series of fluoro-thermoplastic elastomers, F-TPV, offers a unique combination of low permeation, low modulus (high flexibility), and excellent processability.

Daikin invented the Iodine cure site monomer for peroxide curable grades in the 1980s and developed this system further. A progressive polymerization method allows linear or branched polymers with controlled molecular weight distribution. The grades of the G-7000 series provide optimal flow-ability and compression set. A minimum of ionic end groups at Daikin's bisphenol grades enable fast curing combined with excellent processing and clean demolding.

All Daikin elastomers are well recognized in the market for their excellent quality and processing behavior. Daikin's philosophy combines technical material performance with dedicated technical and commercial service. Close cooperation and partnership with our customers is the key element for our current and future joint success.
