Design And Operation Principle: Decantation centrifuges use very high centrifugal force, influencing on solid particles in liquid, located in very quickly rotating drum, causing very quick sedimentation. Decanter centrifuges and sludge centrifuges are manuafctured in Poland.

Operation Scheme

Central part of centrifuge is rotating conical – cylindrical drum, which contains rotating scoop worm. The set up rotations difference between drum and worm is assured by used planetary or cycloidal gear.

Material is supplied to the centrifuge through the inlet pipe to the outlet section in worm, which is located in the area of transition of cylindrical drum part into cone. The deposit, separated from the liquid, is transported outside by the worm. The reflux is carried away through the separate valve. Liquid layer thickness in the drum is maintained on the constant level with the adjustment possibility, depending on the mixture. Elements contacting product are made exclusively from stainless steel. Places subjected to quick wiping with the mixture are protected with hard, abrasion-resistant alloys.

  • In water and sewage management for communal and industrial waste dewatering, such as: raw, biologically unstable, fermented and slaughterhouse waste. Thickening effect up to 35% of dry mass in separated fraction.
  • In petroleum and gas mining for mining washers cleaning.
  • In food industry for separating juice water from potato pulp in potato starch production. Thickening effect up to 45% of dry mass in thickened fraction.
  • In potato protein recovery stations. Thickening effect up to 40% of dry mass in thickened fraction.
  • In waste pulp dewatering stations. Thickening effect 30-40% of dry mass in thickened fraction. Cleaning effect up to 0.1% of dry mass in reflux.
  • In vegetable oil cleaning processes. Cleaning effect up to 0.2% of dry mass in reflux.
  • For separating solid substances from the stillage. Thickening effect not less than 30% of dry mass in dewatered stillage.
  • In installations cleaning underground mine water. Cleaning effect up to 0.7% of dry mass in reflux.
  • In after treatment mud bath thickening processes. Cleaning effect up to 0.2% of dry mass in reflux. Thickening effect up to 15% of dry mass.

Operation And Work System

Decantation centrifuges use very high centrifugal force, influencing on solid particles in liquid, located in very quickly rotating drum, causing very quick sedimentation. In the sedimentation process, solid product is transported towards the outlet section, like in streamwise system. The liquid flows in the opposite direction all the time, reaching the reflux overflow threshold. This system is very effective for mixtures with high solid content, increased dead weight, high granulation and viscosity.

Adjusment

To assure optimal operation conditions during spinning of the given mixture, there is a possibility of adjustment of the following parameters: amount of fed mixture, drum rotations, relative work rotations, overflow radius.
