Noxon - Decanter Centrifuge
Decanter centrifuges play a crucial role in various scenarios where the separation of solids from liquids is essential. Noxon offers a range of decanter centrifuge models, each available in different sizes and customizable to meet the specific preferences of our customers.
Decanter Centrifuge Technology
A decanter centrifuge is a sophisticated technology comprising a rotating bowl with an independently rotating scroll inside. The process involves feeding solids and liquid (sludge/slurry) through an inlet pipe into a mixing chamber within the scroll. Polymer is introduced to induce flocculation, enhancing dewatering performance. The slurry is expelled to the outer walls of the bowl and transported out through the scroll, while the centrate water is directed back to the centrate outlet. Regulating the water level in the bowl is crucial, and its appropriateness depends on the nature of the slurry. The drum and scroll can rotate independently, reaching speeds of up to 3600 RPM, depending on the model and slurry type.
Noxon offers decanter centrifuges based on two dewatering principles: counter current and concurrent. Counter current is suitable for easily dewatered slurries with high hydraulic volume, while concurrent is applied in more complex applications with a low difference in density between solids and liquid. The entire decanter centrifuge process is automatically controlled by a specialized control system.
Why Choose Noxon?
-
Heavy Duty: Designed for high durability and extended operation, featuring lower speeds to minimize wear on critical parts.
-
Lamella: Noxon`s unique Lamella solution tilts the scroll blade, facilitating faster sedimentation and typically resulting in superior outgoing dryness.
-
Flexibility: Noxon adapts its products according to customer needs, ensuring a tailored solution for diverse applications.
-
Higher Outgoing DS and Lower Polymer Consumption: With a larger bowl diameter than many competitors, Noxon`s decanter centrifuges offer longer retention times and extended centrifugation. This often leads to higher outgoing dryness and reduced polymer consumption.
-
Control System: The decanter centrifuge is seamlessly controlled by a Noxon-developed system, allowing continuous, unmanned operation. The system regulates, registers, and monitors the process, with alarm functions to address unforeseen events.
Two Standard Control Systems
Noxon provides two standard control systems, XDC and SP4000, both housed in a cabinet. Specifically developed for sludge dewatering, these systems offer communication with main systems. The user-friendly HMI (Human-Machine Interface) provides real-time monitoring, detailed statistics, and trend curves for thorough analyses. Noxon`s control systems empower customers with complete control over their sludge dewatering processes.
