NESTDesktop Semi-Automatic Filling and Stoppering Machine

SHARE

The NEST desktop semi-automatic filling and stoppering machine is an integrated device that combines both filling and stoppering functions. Designed for laboratory use, it is compatible with a variety of packaging formats made from different materials—such as prefilled syringes, cartridges, and vials composed of COC, COP, and others. The system ensures aseptic operation by utilizing a high-precision peristaltic pump for filling and a vacuum-based stoppering mechanism.

The machine features a compact and streamlined design, making it ideal for placement in biosafety cabinets, clean benches, and laboratory environments. Operating in a single-vial mode, it provides greater flexibility during filling and stoppering while effectively preventing issues such as vial tipping, breakage, or wastage. Its open, modular design allows for easy component replacement, ensuring strong adaptability to different applications.
Users can independently set parameters for both filling and stoppering. During operation, parameters can be clearly monitored and adjusted to ensure they meet filling requirements. This makes the system an effective tool for supporting pharmaceutical R&D and for aligning laboratory-scale output with future production data needs.

Introduction

Key Features and Configuration

Control System

 a) Touchscreen interface supporting both Chinese and English

 b) Filling control system capable of storing multiple sets of filling data for easy record-keeping and review

 c) Integrated control cabinet within the unit for a more compact footprint

Filling Module

 a) Utilizes a high-precision stainless steel peristaltic pump, customizable via parameter settings to meet different filling needs

 b) Filling volume: 0.5mL - 20mL, with accuracy controlled within ±2%

 c) Throughput: approximately 300 vials per hour

 d) Servo-motor-driven needle holder enables programmable filling curves tailored to different drug types  and volumes. During filling, the needle is inserted into the vial and moves with the liquid level,  effectively preventing air bubbles and splashing.

Stoppering Module

 a)  Features vacuum stoppering, suitable for prefilled syringes and cartridges. Each unit undergoes  vacuum level detection during the stoppering process. Adjustable vacuum settings help control bubble formation, significantly improving stoppering success rates.

 b)  Vacuum stoppering minimizes rubber stopper deformation and helps preserve surface coatings on the stoppers.
