Olfactomics IonVision - Model DMS -Differential Ion Mobility Spectrometry For Industrial Applications
Differential Mobility Spectrometry (DMS) is a technology which utilizes an electric mobility of ions for separation and identification of gas components.
Ionvision is an autonomous DMS instrument with continuous sampling. Ionvision can be operated locally with touch screen or remotely with web browser. Ionvision has web-api and TTL-interface to integrate the device with sampling or larger measurement system.
Some typical applications for Ionvision are:
- Process monitoring
- Leakage detection
- VOC detection
- Contamination detection
- Ambient air monitoring
The benefits using Ionvision include:
- Autonomous operation
- Continous sampling
- low or sub ppb detection limit
- Low life time cost
- Low maintenance
- Low training burden
- Cloud ready
IonVision utilizes differential mobility spectrometry. The molecules are ionized and separated based on their mass, charge and shape, generating a fingerprint-like spectrum. Extreme sensitivity allows chemical analysis down to sub ppb level. It is best suited for detection and classification challenges.
Built for challenging applications
The technology is traditionally used in aerospace applications where robust function and changing conditions are the norm. The foundation of IonVision’s core is the need for fast and reliable gas sensor for use in a surgical application.
Flexible interfaces for wide applications
Independence from compressed air or purified air source makes it easy to deploy. Open interfaces make it easy to adapt for different applications and peripherals.
