BluSky is developing an integrated solution for carbon capture and sequestration, employing the Vulcan Heavy Biomass Pyrolysis System, Medusa Carbon Mineralization System, and Kronos Direct Air Capture System. Vulcan Heavy focuses on converting biomass into byproducts such as biochar, bio-oil, and biosyngas, processing up to 5 tonnes of biomass per cycle. The Medusa system efficiently mineralizes CO2, converting it into stable stone formations. Kronos represents a direct air capture technology, engineered to capture and sequester CO2 with optimized energy efficiency by utilizing renewable resources from Vulcan. Anticipated to function at a commercial scale by 2024, Kronos aims to revolutionize sustainability in the industry. The integrated system, housed in Kiloplex facilities, projects the annual removal of 40,000 tonnes of CO2, with scalability plans to capture more than 1 million tonnes annually through Megaplex and Gigaplex expansions.Most popular related searches
